2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
Bold and aggressive Syrah from McKinley Springs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills combines with the dark fruit character of Stillwater Springs Syrah grown on the Columbia Valley’s Royal Slope to provide some of the full-bodied elements of this well-structured offering. McKinley’s Cabernet Sauvignon provides ample tannic grip while Olsen’s nicely balanced Cab gives the wine a nice weight on the pallet. Yakima Valley’s Lonesome Springs Grenache as well as Olsen’s Malbec (which is right down the road) round out this fruity-yet-bold wine with well-articulated notes of cherries and mocha, making for a highly approachable yet sophisticated glass of wine.
