Grenache and Counoise from Lonesome Springs Ranch in Yakima provide some of the enticing fruit core to Scarlet Lake as well as bolstering its acidity to ensure a healthy aging potential. Mourvedre and Syrah from McKinley Springs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills provide structure and complexity to this Syrah, as well as length to its lovely and memorable finish. Drink now or in 5 years. It’s your call. Scarlet will have plenty of life left in it in 2021.
