2020 Opulence

Opulence is the name of Coeur d’Alene Cellars’ flagship reserve Syrah, first bottled in 2005.

Deep, dark and bold, Opulence delivers quite a punch on the palate with loads of luscious dark fruit and silky tannins which provide a long and memorable finish. French and Hungarian Oak barrels make up the majority of the oak profile on this big wine, with a small amount of American Oak boosting the vanilla and coconut characters of CDA Cellars’ most well-known special occasion red. Opulence can stand up to any meat dish including a big Porterhouse, Chateaubriand, or braised short ribs. Opulence is also quite at home matching with chocolate desserts such as a flourless chocolate cake or a decadent mousse.
