We carefully separated the more ripe Zinfandel clusters and set them aside especially for this fine dessert wine.The nose of this wine is greeted with notes of violets, dried blueberries, plums, and dark fruit. The mid-palate offers hints of vanilla and red currant, as well as more subdued notes of orange peel, sandlewood, and chocolate. This wine is ideal for dessert since it has a pleasant acidity that counterbalances its sweetness without becoming overpowering. Save Stripes for the holidays and enjoy it after dinner with apple cranberry pie, chocolate salted caramel bars, or gateaux au chocolat.

The attractive scents of blended red fruits, such as raspberry and dried strawberry, together with subtle notes of baking spices, fill this full-bodied red wine. Offers fragrances of fresh fruit, black tea, mocha, and chocolate powder. The palate is refined and rich, with notes of black currants and plum purée, balanced by subtle tannins and enhanced by vanilla bean. The aftertaste tastes of crushed berries and dark chocolate. 

Black cherries, cherries, and violets are the flavors found in Scarlet Lake Syrah, one of our fruit foward red wines.  The wine has an abundance of lush darker fruits, including blackberries, dark cherries, and juicy strawberries. It is opaque, with a ruby-purple color, and has rich, very concentrated scents and flavors.  Taking a sip of Scarlet Lake is like biting into a blueberry muffin. Scarlet goes well with savory dishes such as coq au vin as well as just about anything coming off the grill. Try it with pizza!

Our Crevasse Cabernet delivers a ripe, fruity, velvety Cabernet Sauvignon highlighting juicy, sweet fruit on the mid-palate.  This cab blend lets the exceptional grapes we source in Horse Heaven Hills as well as the Yakima Valley shine through. Lots of ripe cherry flavors lead to notes of raspberries and baking spices. Our Crevasse would go well with anything from Chateaubriand to Lasagne with Bolognese sauce.

Mourvèdre clusters are about twice as large as any other varietal’s, and as such they can be difficult to grow.  Our Mourvèdre is one of our most popular red wines. It’s wonderfully balanced with a nice core of dark fruit and a rich spicy character which this varietal is renowned for. Our Mo is terrific paired with Italian pasta dishes, smoked meats, as well as pan-seared duck breast.

This Bordeaux varietal was aged in prestigious French oak barrels, which have imparted to the wine a very nice toasty vanilla character and have contributed excellent structure.  Our Cabernet Franc showcases exciting notes of blackberries, cherry and currant flavors and characteristics of dried herbs, cured meat and fennel along with sweet tobacco and perfume aromas. It is earthy yet lively, medium-bodied and has elegant tannins to ensure a balanced mouthfeel. Enjoy with Filet Mignon, Elk Sausage or Roast Turkey.

Massive Syrah from old vines grown in McKinley Springs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills is the backbone for this full and robust red wine. This warm site not far from the Columbia River consistently provides us with Syrah grapes which have lots of tannin and tons of focused fruit flavors which stand up to it, making a “lovable monster” of a wine which has created an enthusiastic and loyal clientele over the years.
